Identity, whether gender or nationality or any other, is an individual choice; fluid, contingent, and perhaps multiple. This is the only way to live at peace in a Free society, and is therefore a non-negotiable demand on every State, backed by force.
My goodness, Conshohocken (as viewed from the train station platform) is beautiful. We should definitely be building more apartments and running more, not fewer, trains out here.

Today is a personal milestone; Route L used to be my secret sauce for getting to or beyond Chestnut Hill cheaply and expeditiously, but today is my first time taking its successor, Route 51.

Or they could do what this Tesco's I recently visited does. (These two photos are taken from the same spot, with the photographer (me) rotated 90º.)

But point 1 flows directly from point 2. Your money isn't going to fund the ground rent on redundant parking lot.

One of the main problems with privatized rail: balkanization of the off-peak. This train is going from where I am, to where I'm going, damn near empty because it's well after dark. But because my ticket says "Transport for Wales" and not "Avanti West Coast", I wait another 40 minutes.

Thus it was that the Government Code and Cipher School came to 50 acres in Bletchley Park, adjacent to the station where the Varsity Line crossed the West Coast Main Line.

What's more surprising is that this uptake is happening where the infrastructure quality quickly veers from gold-plated to shit and back (by American standards!) Large parts of the city center are car-free, and there's contraflow lanes and filtered permeability everywhere.

It's hard to express how much Cambridge is a cycling city, and it's not demonstrable in a bare handful of videos or still photographs, either.
But here's a start. These parking ranks are outside of a WeWork. On a *Sunday*.

And what you can do if your streets are already narrow (like Philadelphia and our 25' cartways), is to create counterflow bike lanes, thus making the street two-way for bikes while still only being wide enough for one car traffic lane.

If any City Councillors need a cheat sheet, Jim Kenney's oTis provided one in February 2021, although it's not very ambitious outside of Center City.

There are dozens of #PaxEx videos on YouTube about either the Brightline or the Via Rail Canada versions of the Venture, but nothing quite prepares you for how shiny they are on the inside. Especially not when you're used to Amfleet Is that are older than I am...

The auto-stairs down to the low-level platform is swanky, but does raise the question of why the hell this station still has low-level platforms.
