Hi Bob, admittedly it's been a while since I've seen a Short-toed Lark but I think your second photo is a Skylark!

I think I recorded the same colony a few months ago - that field margin on the way to the headland was full of nice things (and Corn Bunting singing nearby)!

This blog was enough to put me off - www.raptorpersecutionscotland.uk/2013/08/defy... . It's far more doable SE of Glas Maol.

Which population are you looking for Jo? I've heard the Craig Rennet one needs roped access really or some very tricky scrambling.

That and Sagina saginoides seemed to be two of the most difficult species to find (I think the latter is significantly over-recorded) up here!

I've had the same issue - I spent many hours all over the Highlands looking where there is apparently plenty of it, and eventually found one fruiting at Corrie Fee last week by chance! I think it doesn't develop inflorescences too often and is perhaps over-recorded too.

I'll message you Jo :)

Let me know if you need any gen Mick, I've seen all those species over the last year.

I think the raking regime last year was spot on for the knotgrass, as I found at least 227 plants, almost all on raked sections of the beach. I can't remember seeing many other plants in the areas the knotgrass was growing though, so an exclosure would be interesting.

I worry the Arenaria norvegica in the Highlands hasn't faired so well this year, I failed to find any in the Inchnadamph area.

I'll be there with Aigas, but will hopefully have time for a BioBlitz!

Definitely a Sphagnum of some kind.

I don't think so, it seems to self-seed fairly often.

Amazing, thanks Jo :)

Which Woodbridge Coop is that please Jo (I think there are two)? I'm heading to Woodbridge in December for my annual trip South of the border so I might have time to stop by.
