As cyclists in the uk we sometimes forget in the fight for better infrastructure that we can legally deploy a powerful protest weapon. We should all take the lane all of the time to protect our safety. Vehicular riding is both legal and powerful, let’s do it they will soon offer alternatives.

We need to ban pavement parking and enable enforcement via easy third party online reporting.
There is no excuse for it.
When people park selfishly across pavements they make life incredibly difficult for people in wheelchairs and many others

We headed out with @pamthomas01.bsky.social to see the challenges she faces on a daily basis because of this selfish behaviour

I was just thinking that the greatest con of the 20th century was that perpetrated by the motor industry, how they managed to persuade us that funding for roads so that we can use their cars should be paid for by taxation. Make the motor manufacturers fund road repairs caused by their products.

Yay for happy goals! I just crossed over 3,000 miles ridden this year. (3,004.5 to be exact.) It's been 4 years since I have broken past 3k due to health issues, major life changes, and needing to be a caregiver for a loved one as they recovered from a major bike crash (1/2)

Cycling is social
I would like to remind all cyclists that riding a bike is inherently a social thing.
So please don’t forget to say hello or ride alongside a stranger and chat. Let’s make cycling pleasant and they will come.

If I die because someone hit me with a tonne of metal, two armchairs and a sofa, don't ask if I was wearing a 300g piece of plastic on my head. Ask why the motorist wasn't being more careful.
