I'm so excited that Ireland is having a publishing conference aimed at indie writers. If you're thinking of coming to this inspiring and informative conference, you can get a discount using Speaker25. I'll see you there in March (despite the calving!) #indieauthor

Great idea to collate all the Indie Author Conferences for 2025. I'll be at Ireland's Publishing Show in March and SPS Live in June. Looking forward to meeting my current author clients and hopefully gaining some new authors too. Which are you going to? indieauthormagazine.com/indie-author...

I really want to create a STEM-inspired sci-fi comic series!

Who wants to make one with me? 🤖
Anyone who's in children's publishing and wants to promote comics I HIGHLY recommend looking at all the quotes and replies to this. So much glorious free wisdom.
How would you, from the ground up, transform a not particularly bothered about comics small country into a European comic book powerhouse? Where almost everyone who reads also reads comics? What magic ingredient do you need?

Just finished up proofreading a really good book. It think it’s around 18th (?) in a series. Quick check over in the morning then back to the author. Have another waiting in the wings which I can’t wait to work on. I have a lovely group of authors, thankfully.

Finally caught up with these busy bee #author friends attending #AuthorNation this week. @siobhanpurcell.bsky.social and @drpaulscience.bsky.social I’m very jealous of their meet ups this week. Can’t wait to catch up in person at www.irelandspublishingshow.com in March2025. A must for all authors

Doing a bit of sports multitasking. Rugby and #tennis. #Proofreading all day so my time out now. Wales aren’t looking good in the rugby (no news there lately) but GB looking good in the #BillieJeanKingCup

Watching the Wales v Australia match. One furry four-legged person missing - always watching me watching rugby and tennis and I'm sure it was to do with my heart rate. Well, I now miss Morgan and her two brothers with all my heart so it's pretty broken anyhow. 💔🐾

Spent the morning co-hosting a webinar for www.sleepystars.ie Raised 20 invoices for a client. Then I packed up all my summer clothes. Two hours of proofreading followed by Saturday night tv with a glass or two of Prosecco. My days are often varied. Suits me. #lovemywork

I'm liking this BlueSky already. Definitely more like the old days so far. And lots of book people - now that's my thing. I loved the chats and fun we had on Twitter in the beginning and the friends I met. Indeed, my best friend came via Twitter in 2009. Also, some work came my way which grew 😀

So, what's going over here then? Hoping it's like the early days of Twitter—and hey, I got my full name this time :)
