Keir Starmer is getting much better at stopping Laura Kuenssberg from interrupting him and taking control of the interview. Wish more politicians would do that.

Not wishing to diminish from the serious point with pedantry, but the expression should be 'toeing the line', thought to be based historically on soldiers forming themselves into ranks with toes on a painted line. Other explanations are available!

Can any theatrical buffs tell me anything about this wonderful old postcard, please? I suspect that the man on the right might be a young Laurence Olivier, around the time of the controversial 1928 performance of Macbeth, but I can't find any confirmation.

I've just watched Kemi Badenoch's completely tone deaf response to the Angela Rayner resignation, and I feel sick. The hypocrisy, completely disregarding the countless financial corruption scandals of her own party during the last 14 years, will have won her no friends among voters. 😡

Calling vintage car buffs! Can anybody please identify the type of car shown in these old family photos? They probably date from the early 1950s, but reverse image searches have been inconclusive. I have a vague and unreliable memory that the car might have been dark green, if that helps.
