Hey, how about housing? See how when we build more units, it gets way more expensive? This is because housing is both a commodity and an asset. But financialization means the pressure is on to treat houses as "sources of generational wealth."

Hey, quick question: did rents in Minneapolis rise or fall since 2020?

I know your graph makes a big deal of a post-COVID drop in rents

*RELATIVE TO INFLATION WHICH REACHED A 40-YEAR HIGH*

but

RENTS INCREASED IN MINNEAPOLIS, NOT DECREASED
(see below). Why not measure rents relative to wages?

He was always soft on abortion, and the calculation was made not to pack the court, instead saving Roe as a wedge issue to use against Trump in the election.

That was in response to the Irgun and Lehi's Zionist terrorism in the British Mandate, after the war, when it was already too late... Here's an account from August Grabski's "Rebels Against Zion" by Jack Jacobs, a scholar of the Bundist history: www.academia.edu/42727822/Aug...

I go around judging apartheid. As you admitted, this is just racist. And it's enshrined in law.

Oh wow, you really don't know?
The Right of Return (חוק השבות) guarantees Jews Israeli citizenship, but not any other ethnicity or religion. It was passed by the Knesset in 1950. www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/israel-s-law...

If you want more proof that rent increases are the result of market manipulation, not some supposed housing shortage due to anti-YIMBY zoning, just look at the actual numbers.
As financialization of housing assets decouples the 'housing' from the 'asset' prices, new builders take houses off-market

Nothing on earth will convince supply-siders that ROI demand is relevant or that permitting more private housing doesn't lower rents. Not even this handy graph showing that private home-building follows rent prices, not the other way around. There's more supply, more new units, and higher rents.

The Oil CEO running this environmental conference sure got a lot of slack for saying there was "no science" behind limiting fossil fuels to combat climate change. He was only talking about the "dismal science," folks

Since they haven't been released as part of what you suspect is a cover-up, we can't know for sure, but we might be able to do a back-of-the-envelope calculation by comparing rates of sexual abuse perpetrated by settlers and in Israeli detention centers. Do we think there may be more than "dozens?"

No, the Bantustans did not have seats at the UN. Are you saying the military regime in Israel doesn't qualify because the PLO's 1974-era seat was converted in 2012? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palesti...

Each Bantustan had its own government and South Africa tried very hard to convince everyone that these were separate nation-states from White South Africa. This is not a new strategy for apartheid countries. www.sahistory.org.za/article/home...

Enforcement happened before being overturned, which means anyone who gets disqualified during an election is immediately disadvantaged while they appeal. The fact that these enforcement actions will be overturned by an embattled Supreme Court is part of the action: www.jpost.com/opinion/arti...

The Bantustans were supposedly states, too. In reality, they were simply a legal fiction created to absolve South Africa of its rights toward those it oppressed. The Occupied Territories do not have the rights of states. www.google.com/books/editio... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bantust...

The "Socialist List" banned in 1965 was an Arab party, what are you talking about? They even banned the Israeli Arab political movement with which it was associated for solely ideological reasons. law.bepress.com/cgi/viewcont...

The bad law is the one which allows the CEC to disqualify candidates on ideological grounds, and it's a part of the Israeli constitution ("Basic Law: The Knesset"). The SC can overturn individual CEC judgments and that ability is under assault by the ruling coalition: jewishlink.news/will-israel-...

This is how the CEC was given authority to restrict Arab participation in elections, and they'll keep doing it. Note how enforcement works: every single ruling coalition member has incited racism and negated Israel's "democratic character" but were all approved. jewishlink.news/will-israel-...

Slight correction: This poll was taken in 2014-2015, and in fact 79% of Jewish Israelis demanded preferential treatment in Israel www.pewresearch.org/religion/201...
