Yeah sorry I'm from there - these guys have basically sectarian views which they pretend are hands-across-the-divide. It doesn't pass the sniff test. They recycle and revive rather than challenge the old republican attitudes, and are trying to pass off trad ethnic hatred as fresh and irreverent. Yuk

And I enjoy "Let's Lynch The Landlord" now as much as I did when I was 15.

What about 55?

Having read them both, I don't find that a fair or accurate representation. I have seen no misinformation from either. Julie is a respected campaigner on lesbian issues and Helen is a highly reputed former UK editor of The Economist. They are both very decent, liberal people and deserve to be heard.

Well, neither author does that, and I read both. We surely by now need to move past dismissing criticism of gender identity ideas as "hate" or "bigotry". It's just a different analysis.
I can't comment on festival organisers insisting on only one view of gender, but are you sure that's correct?

Why are you withdrawing, as a matter of interest? I'm guessing you aren't gender critical, but still not sure why people having different analysis of gender is intolerable? They wouldn't boycott it if you were going.
