Been making a lot more house music recently. Lots of lofi Rhodes and old school Hip
Hop influences. I find the genre a lot more forgiving from a technical perspective which means I can focus on vibes and enjoying the process. Pretty liberating tbh

I’ve started to slowly purge myself of Meta products and X. I’ll be winding down my accounts on X, Facebook, Threads and Instagram and focussing elsewhere. I recognise that I have a mild scrolling addiction, particularly on FB so it it won’t be totally straightforward…

I find that my creative impulses tend to be inconsistent and ebb and flow roughly in line with my general mental health state. I’ve turned that on its head a little recently by working on more chilled bits during the more stormy periods. Creating can be a form of meditation.

I really hope Bluesky takes off. I feel an even greater need to rid myself of any Meta products now. I rarely open Xitter these days but leaving Instagram & Thread would be a pain, especially without a reasonable alternative
