Speaking as a worgen fan I am beyond flummoxed that the game is just pretending that fucking Darius Crowley from the Gilneas Liberation Front whom we haven't seen or heard from since Silverpine is just apparently part of Odyn's army and we've never seen him until now

What were they trying to cook

Lorna come get your dad
November 5, 2025 at 12:55 AM
Brother wha

When did he get here?????

Guarantee you the person drafting this quest was throwing darts at a board for npcs that are *technically* warriors

Look man I'm not going to look a gift worgen in the mouth but this is random as hell

I think the story of its original wielder being able to fight for days and nights on end paints a better picture of how it links to Vengence DH. If they went a little more in detail of how the absorbed souls empower the user, it'd feel a bit more complete but that's just me

You can feel a bit of the "hype moments and aura" they try to garner with the user of these weapons being one of the only to directly challenge Sargeras but admittedly it does kinda show how it links to being a DH tank. I think the soul absorption power gimmick is a bit half baked though

Alderachi Warblades have more going on tho

They're unique in that they're an artifact that comes from a whole other planet. They interestingly don't look like most other warglaives. I think it would've been better if they looked just a bit more "alien" but design wise, it's solid enough
November 1, 2025 at 10:31 PM
As far as the lore goes, I mean yeah it's a legion weapon empowered by Kil'Jaden but like

that barely does anything for me. Vaguely empowered by a major villain, no interesting tie into Havoc DHs like some other weapons

Very nothingburger
The other appearances carry it

It's obv not helped by the fact that we're seeing this class playable for the first time so there aren't any other examples of glaives that aren't powerful artifacts but still. I think the basic warglaives you get look more powerful than these
November 1, 2025 at 10:19 PM
DH is another interesting case. Everything had to be made up right then and there since well there weren't any prominent DHs with known lore weapons besides Illidan (correct me if I'm wrong there)

That said, Twinblades of the Deceiver kinda does nothing for me. These just look like basic DH weapons

There's no special transformation tied to the scythe either. Despite my biases, I do think it's a good choice when you ignore the awkward ugly chicken you're forced to take the shape of. An artifact with massive lunar power tied to the creation of WoW's werewolves
Yeah

Please Delete Moonkin/10

God I just

why moonkin man
why the class that I actively would never want to look like

I know Balance is literally where most of the druidic spellcasting fantasy comes from and yeah the Scythe does complement that in some ways but

urghghgh I HATE this fucking thing
Why did it need to exist!!!
November 1, 2025 at 9:59 PM
Scythe of Elune is where I have a lot more thoughts

As the Worgen guy I do appreciate having one closely tied to the Worgen (despite the acquisition quest having nothing to do with them and I do like that it's one of the few weapons that had an established presence in lore

But

I rate these both 10/10 due to the fact that they just make the enough sense that I can't see them doing anything else that would be better. Even though I hate the way WoW implemented Druid, this is pretty much the most complimentary choice with what they've done
November 1, 2025 at 9:37 PM
Same with the Fangs of Ashamane for Feral

I don't recall of Ashamane had any mention in WoW prior to Legion but honestly I could be fooled into thinking there was. Again another direct wild god to take the form of. Very solid implementation
November 1, 2025 at 9:37 PM
Putting aside my personal biases for Druid, I think this is a solid concept on its own. Ursoc and Ursol already had a presence in the lore since Grizzly Hills so it makes perfect sense to give them a proper appearance through the artifacts

It's the most natural implementation so far

Guild Wars 2 stole my time but back to this now

Druid was certainly an interesting class to tackle because blizz had to address the fact that the druid forms make every piece of gear invisible. Anyway Claws of Ursoc.
The only natural choice would be to let druids take the form of a wild god

They just…really didn’t want to make that paladin mount huh
Was the world just not ready for a heavily armored sunwalker moose

Yeah this is just an all around solid weapon. For me the design holds it back just a little. The colors available aren't really to my liking personally

It's a weird combination tho with BM hunters and lightning but it does kinda work in that you tame an exotic titan pet and get its abilities
