Christopher Lee did an amazing job as Death in the animated shows and I think Pratchett liked those a lot as well.

It generally involves a lot more thinking about what happens to the water after pressure wash with it. Something I’m glad the game ignores.

Ironically those remakes bring those old games more into the style of RE4. So if you liked those, play 4 (original or remake). RE7 is where there was a change to first person.
