These are all great games held back by the hardware they were on. Maybe Age of Calamity can get a patch to unlock the frame rate, but I imagine they're focusing on Age of Imprisonment.

think of the difference in tone between a FF14 live letter and the Nikki 1.5 patch preview we got. Devs honestly and openly talking about the game live versus a very scripted and pre-recorded video that feels ungenuine - especially with how they made no mention of rewriting the story

i firmly believe that in a live service microtransaction-based game, you attract more flies with honey than with vinegar. don't jerk the players around, don't rely on predatory mechanics or practices, be honest and open with them, and players will WANT to give you their money.

it's so frustrating because it's easy to imagine a version of this game that's way better.
- remove the gacha and just put new outfits in the cash shop, permanently
- write quests that focus on the lore and backstory of the new outfits and Nikki's connection with them
