Jimbo, dreamsicle piebald, is bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning. I'm in love with this mans! He's an important part of my day, feeding him in the morning and being greeted when I get home. Walker has been here as long as I have, but hasn't bothered to try and get to know us yet. I never wanted to stress him, so our relationship was me shouting baby talk at him from a distance (in public 🙀 lol) well, he watched Jimbo get a place (and regular dinners) and has finally broken past those last few barriers. He came right up this morning! Jimbo's not super pleased, but I'm trying to show each of them they won't lose out on account of the other! Walker is a... Luxury piebald sic, maybe? He's really gorgeous, and has soooo much hair. It can be hard getting comfortable in this stage, so I used a trick I picked up from Missy- anything can be a toy! Sometimes the regular ones are just too noisy or bright. That little vine in front of his face was within reach and I swung it around until he went CHOMP! He's pleased with himself, I haven't scared him away, and we're both happy. He's already working out another toy already! A little stick, some pine needles can give that little thrill that sends all cats into play time, which I believe really helps your bond!

Charlotte, tuxedo mom, reminding me why I suspect something demonic in that family line.... She just has the expression of a person who's about to stir up some shit. 😹 You might think Shiloh, diffuse orange young lady, looks pretty freaked out here. You're very correct! Melissa is mean-mugging Shiloh from my lap, but that didn't stop this enterprising sweetie! Why, just get in the bowl, Melissa loves that! And you know what? It worked. Smartest cat, got many kisses. Jimbo, dreamsicle piebald, stepped onto my lap and seriously hasn't looked back. He'll jump right up even when I'm in the chair (something terrifying only days ago), and flip over to get some snugs. He's a kneader, with no claw control, yet manages to grab my hand with the same claws out and not break skin. He's not shy about giving kisses back, but still a little suspicious about this whole "hang out with a human" thing. One of his favorite games is "ooooh nooooooo you're chaaaasing meeee!" Today, he nipped mawmaw's toe after receiving very nice pets haha I almost cried laughing. I'm very grateful to have this little guy near home- I'm probably crazy selfish, already getting to love on so many babies, but early this morning I decided to give up on sleep and step out- he was there! He's a wonderful new neighbor! Thanks for reading this wall of text... I'm not planning on reducing my posting, but I'm having trouble finding joy around me. I know it's there, and right now I'm blind to it (also sick lol) so I'll just keep swimming until the spots in my vision fade!

Jimbo, orange and white (or dreamsicle) piebald, has been getting much closer! I can give pets, but he's not fully comfortable around me yet, and my phone going off or just catching him wrong can have him bolt out of reach, but I've also learned that if I cry dramatically he'll run back! 😸 He's not sure what this whole lap thing is about, but he's pretty close to figuring it out! Hi, Jimbo! He's really handsome! He has wide set shoulder blades and is just massive. He's not scared of dogs at all, and will send any weaker minded ones running. He jumped about ten feet in the air and spent two minutes reacting to that pot behind him, seemingly worried for our safety. Turns out it was the little plastic tray it was sitting in... Thank goodness he was there to protect me! Look! He says, love me! Pet me! He's just so sweet and precious. I'm very biased! Jimbo is rubbing against my hip (sitting on the ground) because he isn't quite ready to totally trust me. That's okay! Everyday I get to hangout with Jimbo is a day closer to when I can get him to just show up and jump into my lap lol Look at that baby! He's so gorgeous. My dreamsicle friend has such mighty paws, and love in his heart... I'm tired lol, so that's all for now. Thank you to everyone who thought of us this past week. Take care!

June 20th, 2024. A black kitten has shown up at a family member's home the night before. I'm so pleased to greet "her"! (This mistake lasted long enough that the name stuck) Missy was still nursing her litter and Penny didn't think twice! He became hers too. He played a little roughly with the infants, so he was ready to meet his future "dad"! Penny, Nov 28th, 2024. Penny is the sweetest cat I know. He generally gets along with everyone... In the cage. At this point, Charlotte is the one tucked away with her babies, so she's not present to rule over the group. Penny connects with Lil Bro, Melissa, Tybalt and Momma relatively easily... And then Charlotte came back! XD June 23rd, 2025! Penny, the cuddliest boy is so big! He's happy to play with hair, cuddle with anyone, but he claims his place of comfort as is his right! When Charlotte came back, he rose to the occasion. He's now the most connected cat, I think, which is very cool! No one is alone when Penny's around!

Melissa, ticked sic, thinks she's slick. She thought no one was watching. I was watching. And I took a picture! No-manners Melissa! (I love her sooooooooooo much my silly girl) There's a good chance she'll listen well, if you have skill in the art of... Scritches. Miso, diffuse orange dad of Ramen, will do all of the above. She's a luxury, dainty floof with attitude- she won't let any nightmares take up your time! You'll be way too busy! Charlie, tuxedo young woman, is sweet. She'll reciprocate your affection, and I am 100000% telling the truth when I say she WILL let you pet the belly. Minor chances at activating her berserk mode, at all times. Will definitely protect you from many foes, but has a continuous chance to get distracted and ditch you! And she's soft! Missy, tortie-sic lady, is a warrior. She's the fierce beast, the most agile, the fastest reflexes. She's also likely to just ignore you, or even run away. Note: running after her will technically mean you're running from your nightmares, so this is an applicable skill! Also very soft, risk of bite never zero. Charlotte, tuxedo Queen, is the mom. She MADE Charlie, in her own image. This is the boss! She's not going to let some puny nightmares get in her way! You better be dreaming of a market, or a sushi restaurant, because Charlotte is hungry :) Might just ignore your problems. May allow pet-the-belly, will probably chew on you just in case you're edible.
