Idle daydream I just came up with: Jetfire is not actually present in the 1985 packaging mural. It's an incognito Roy Focker momentarily working with the Autobots until he can get back to his home dimension. That's why Jetfire never shows up with the Macross body-type again!

So the next Club operator Fun Publications opted instead to make the King Atlas toy into an off-screen character in the backstory of Transformers: Cybertron, completely separate from the original Transformers: Zone.
It kind of makes sense considering the timing matchup!

I can also tell you of another loosely similar funny story: in 2004 Hasbro adapted Japanese G1 Autobot leader Dai Atlas as King Atlas, using the G1 Skyquake body. They farmed out the bio to Club operator 3H, only for 3H to collapse without getting to release the bio, which was completely forgotten.
