Education is my passion,
politics my anger,
good food and TV my weakness.

I live on Dharug land.
I conduct and facilitate research about, for and in schools.
This is how I’m treated by Andy after I’ve been at the office all day.

I remember the State of Play book and I definitely had that one. I wonder if I still have it somewhere. Why does it make your top 20?
I would choose for economics, the play A Royal Commission into the Australian Economy. I know I still have the book of that!

On Wednesday Carmel (ACU) and I ran a workshop at the AARE 2024 Conference. Our participants put their brains to work 🧠 and writing hands into action ✍️ to examine literature about classroom readiness and if it was the same as what we could see or if they had new insights to share.

Time for a good story. We ordered a cake for a party last Saturday. The person picking it up was running very late. The owner had locked up and started his trip to Canberra when he was called. He went back to the store and left the cake with the shop next door, allowing us to pay during the week.
