Until I left for college, my family had a December tradition: a day trip to New York City. We would visit the tree at Rockefeller Center, stop inside St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and marvel at the holiday windows at Macy’s. Those trips were also the only times I saw people experiencing homelessness. At the time, I’m ashamed to admit, my reaction was often, …

How and Why Did the Vision for the BHA Change?
When the Behavioral Health Task Force established by Governor Polis recommended the creation of the Behavioral Health Administration, the original concept suggested that all programs and funding related to behavioral health in the Executive Branch would move under this new entity. The important #behavioralhealth reform work in #Colorado must carry on. Not all of the recommendations require significant resources to implement: As Colorado legislators eye budget cuts, behavioral health reforms must remain a priority coloradosun.com/2025/02/04/o...
Opinion: As Colorado legislators eye budget cuts, behavioral health reforms must remain a priority
We cannot give up hope and should continue to implement solutions that require little resources.

We Already Have the Answers to Strengthen Our Behavioral Health System
Over the past decade, there have been a multitude of committees, task forces, and work groups dedicated to improving Colorado’s behavioral health system. There are so many wrong assumptions about #homelessness, and I talk about what I have learned here: www.aspendailynews.com/opinion/solv...
Solving homelessness together
Over the past few years, Pitkin County has seen an increase in the number of people who are experiencing homelessness. This is happening across Colorado. With the increasing cost of

People, regardless of their circumstances, can be kind. Many people experiencing #homelessness are everyday people who have endured various challenges. Many of us have a support network that will help out when times are tough. Not everyone does. Let’s all appreciate the things we take for granted.

Yesterday, I took Harley in to get her vaccines and they found a mast cell tumor. Surgery is scheduled for January 7th. Please share positive stories of any of your pups who have recovered from this type of thing. #dogsofbluesky

As December begins, take time to care for your mental health. Set boundaries, embrace moments of calm and reflect on your growth. Prioritize rest and self-compassion. This month is for peace, connection and renewal.

Did you know BlueSky only has 20 employees?

We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to those 20 warriors (who are working 24/7 to keep up with the incredible growth) for giving us a space to share.

We escaped hell to be here.

Thank you, @bsky.app & Jay Graber CEO (not a billionaire)

Alright, who’s genuinely excited to crack open that glorious, deep red, gelatinous cylinder of canned cranberries? Because nothing says “Thanksgiving” like a jiggly, can-shaped blob of mystery fruit! Right?!? 🤪 #thanksgiving
