NEW: Epstein survivors release the most powerful PSA I have ever seen.

Make this go viral so every member of the House of Representatives sees it.

Nigeria has 8x the population of Iraq. Ask Bush how that worked out.
Trump says we are preparing to invade Nigeria. Apparently that’s what voters said they wanted in the exit polls. Trump: “We’re going to do things to Nigeria that Nigeria’s not gonna be happy about. Guns-a-blazin!”

Can we set aside that crisis of young men being driven to the Right? From NBC’s exit polling for young men 18-29:

VA: Spanberger +14
NJ: Sherrill: +10
NYC: Mamdani +40

Venezuela produces no fentanyl. And, Nigeria is not persecuting Christians. (It’s an extremist Islamic sect that is in revolt and actually killing more Muslims than Christians.)

So, why are these nations in Trump’s crosshairs? That both have huge oil reserves is, I am sure, purely coincidental.

Whistling past the graveyard, me thinks.
Mike Johnson: "What happened last night is blue states and blue cities voted blue. We all saw that coming. And no one should read too much into last night's election results."

Twas good to see a bit of light in the sky when I got up this morning. But, boy, the cocktail hour is seeming way too far away.

Why celebrate Great Gatsby at the Mar-a-Lago Halloween party. Forget the in-your-face gaucheness of doing so as SNAP expires. Novel's theme is the hollowness of the American dream and ends with only 3 folks attending the murdered Gatsby's funeral. I doubt any of them ever read the American classic?

While various nefarious possibilities occur, there’s the “Occam’s Razor” explanation: they’re freeloaders.
Stephen Miller, Marco Rubio and Kristi Noem represent “a growing list” of senior Trump-administration political appointees now living on military bases — “where they are shielded not just from potential violence but also from protest”

Wonder why

They are expecting (or imagining they can provoke) civil war.

Political junkie that I am, read the Washington Post for 40+ years. Cancelled last fall amidst their disgusting coverage of the presidential campaign.

Only one thing would motivate me to resubscribe: having the pleasure of again canceling.

Was playing with ChatGPT. I got generic and lengthy responses to general questions like: "How can we overcome authoritarianism?" When I asked more directly, the response was terse. Could either mean it's now allowed to say. Or, could be its conclusion is that we are cooked. I fear it's both.

Never mind the complexities of the federal government. How can such an innumerate fool run businesses without driving them into bankruptcy? .... Oh never mind, I forgot.

Ain’t about fentanyl. Venezuela accounts for 0% of fentanyl smuggled into the US. But, their oil reserves are among the largest in the world. Hmmm?
NEW: Some prominent Trump advisers and supporters are criticizing the administration's expanding military actions against Venezuela. They ask whether Rubio aims to do "regime change." Steve Bannon, Laura Loomer and Curt Mills are speaking up. Our story: www.nytimes.com/2025/10/23/u...

Cannot wait to get to the store today. Those eggs that were $8/dozen yesterday? Now they will be paying me $64 for each dozen I take off their hands. Need to also stop at the gas station where they will be paying me $40 for each gallon I pump. #stablegenius.

Please NYT, it was NOT a “peace deal” that Trump helped along. It was a cease fire that is now unraveling. NYT chooses not even to get the basics right. Disgusting.

In red, white, and blue; flags ready to wave; positive signs in hand. Off to join the other supposed criminals, terrorists, and America-haters, but who actually are simply neighbors joyously standing up for the sacred promise that is true America. Great turnout across the Coachella Valley. #NoKings

Our #NoKings rallies have begun by singing “America the Beautiful.” Nothing but good vibes, so needed in these dark days.
Mike Johnson: "We're so angry about it. I mean, I'm a very patient guy, but I've had it with these people. The theory we have right now -- they have a hate America rally that's scheduled for October 18 on the National Mall. It's the pro-Hamas wing and antifa people ... "

Why LA, Chicago, and Portland rather than more problematic cities in those states? Without the Portland metro area, Oregon likely goes red. Without the nLA metro area, CA could go red. And, without Chicago, Illinois goes red.

It's not about (mythical) violence. It's about stealing elections.

Have largely dismissed AI products. Results seem sophomoric or too often marred by errors or hallucinations. Today, decided to try ChatGPT (free version) having a need for complicated driver code. It was flawless. Early in my career, was a programmer. Were that the case today, I'd be worried.

With all the criticism of D’s, don’t hear realistic advice about on they should be doing.

Frustratingly, there’s nothing effective they can realistically do.

Pre-MEGA, both D’s and R’s lacked coherence. Traditional R party is gone, replaced by a personality cult showing it’s greater power.
