I am whoever you say I am.
This is going to be incredibly important. Without downstream consequences, there is every incentive for governments to be reckless.
BREAKING: Chief Judge Boasberg announces, "My intent is to begin" with any hearings related to his contempt proceedings against the Trump administration on "the Monday after Thanksgiving."
NOW: Chief Judge Boasberg is holding a hearing in the Alien Enemies Act, and announces that he does plan on continuing the contempt proceedings.

He believes that will entail having people testify, but is asking the parties for their positions.

ACA insurance for a family of one adult and two kids making the CA median income ($104K per year):
2025: $305 for the cheapest possible policy
2026: $1342 for the cheapest possible policy

Anyone with a serious health issue would want much better coverage -- minimum $2K per month.

I’m confident Congress will have a solution to the lapse of healthcare subsidies by Dec. 31. It will involve channeling them only to “Red” and Swing states.
I’m also confident Schumer hasn’t even contemplated this.

It’s plausible the Supreme Court strikes down Trump’s tariffs, at least in part, since the majority’s earlier rulings have followed the standard that Trump can break the law whenever he wants except perhaps when doing so causes the Justices, their bribers, and other rich people to lose money.

“although the Cato study shows that although right-wing attacks were more prevalent than left-wing ones between 1975 and 2015, after 2016, they become nearly equal."
This is not even remotely accurate. After 2016, it was almost twice as likely an attacker would be right-leaning than left-leaning. 3️⃣

TLDR. Kash gives NZ police chief a 3d printed gun as a ‘gift.’
NZ police say it’s illegal and dangerous and ... destroy it.

Not all countries want guns all the time, dude. (Even Americans don’t).

Amidst all this awfulness, I have to say: kudos to Gavin Newsom and his messaging team.
Before 2025, I didn't like him. Slimy, out of touch...
Now... well... he's one of few to inspire defiance and a bit of hope. Probably couldn't get elected nationally, but Dems, take some notes.

We took a close look at Split Ticket's WAR metric, which has become influential in Democratic circles for suggesting moderates significantly outperform progressives.

Our finding: The metric contains systematic biases that overstate the advantage of moderation. A corrected model shows no advantage.🧵

A neat summary of how the Democratic Party will be divided, defeated, and dominated by Trump’s war. The sovereign has declared the exception and the Democratic Party’s best response is “you cannot do that.” Any Iranian escalation will only strengthen the sovereign’s case for the exception.
My statement on Trump’s decision to attack Iran:

The United States should not wage war against Iran.

Donald Trump’s bombing of Iran is unconstitutional. Only Congress can declare war — and the Senate must vote immediately to prevent an another endless war.

This is a horrific war of choice.
