And that was my trip. A great way to belatedly spend my 40th birthday milestone. I'll definitely try going again once more characters get added to Nintendo World. There are a few photo op spots. Yes the Outatime license plate slowly rotates. They have the Delorean and presumably Einstein's great-great-great-great grandson as a photo op but the line was Highly Massive and we were tired. There are little skits that take place around the area

This Back to the Future area is part of Fan Fest. The tour tram takes you to the sets used in the 1955 portions of the first movie and you can wander freely. Totally-not-Christopher-Lloyd introduces you to the area on the way.

Universal does this thing on Friday nights called Fan Fest, where cosplay is encouraged and certain special things open up throughout the park. Yoshi is only available for photos at this time, but as new characters get introduced they'll take the Friday spot and he'll be available normally.

My sister took these photos. Fair warning that most of the rest of our visit was Back to the Future related. We did a Universal Studios tram tour that was really neat and informative. At one point you go into this area with screens all around you where you wear 3D glasses and

Yoshi wasn't gonna be available for a few hours and we had done everything else at Nintendo World so we wandered around. Found a store that shows off high value memorabilia and sells? them. Had to get pics of classic Batman things, as well as a waste of money.

It's worth noting that the band is reusable and has miiverse stamps that require multiple visits to the park so it's well worth the price if you wanna do All The Things in Nintendo World. Also this was my score from the Mario Kart ride. The visor is like an inch from your face so it came out well.

Here's what we ate. I had to eat a Yoshi item but the only other thing was a melon smoothie. The cutlery was wooden and not sturdy enough to cut through some of the food without breaking. There are "windows" in the dining area that show Toads milling about Mushroom Kingdom.

When you enter, Chef Toad is on a screen talking about the cafe. I took a video but yeah. Here's some photos I took of the interior. I barely got the last one before someone moved in front of it.

At this point we had some time before our Toad Cafe reservations. We got in line early for pics with Mario and Luigi so we were able to make it.

The Mario Kart ride, Bowser's Challenge, doesn't require a band. Four people per kart. You wear an AR visor that's glasses friendly. The object of the game is to shoot Bowser and the Koopalings with shells given to you at certain intervals. You also shoot other enemies like fireballs and Bullet Bill

A thing you can do to earn coins is hitting ? blocks. These are child height, which means not childs need to squat uncomfortably, or hit them with the side of the fist. It makes a coin noise when it works. But they didn't always work. So a bruise happened.

If there were ever a game that needed gifs over still images, it's this one.

I gave in and Experienced the snow. I felt and heard the crunch of it under my feet. I touched it with my hands. I understand the appeal now. Please let this never happen again.
