Finally started our garden. It's a work in progress but I'm proud we initiated the process so now it can grow and we can add additions and learn as we go.

Hearing honking, seeing BLM signs, I walked over to see what was going on in front of the closed BOfA on Fruitvale in Diamond district to find "Neighbors for Racial Justice Vigil" a small dedicated group who said they've been on that corner for 11 years, every Saturday from 10:30 am to 11:30am.

And as a Bay Area kid from the other side of the bay it still hit a layer of local nostalgia.

O-M-G so worth it. I got Strawberry matcha cakes and fresh mixed mochi from Obana when I went to Oaktown Spice Shop today. *sigh* I wish I could share with my bestie she would LOVE these.

Seneca Scott has been harassing Oakland activist and native John Jones III and Jones had enough. The last part about how to spot operates attempting to get you into illegal activity was spot on and very important for anyone dealing with online harassment and aggressive political behavior.

Like clockwork, the San Francisco Chronicle supplies endless Loren Taylor ads attacking Barbara Lee. I'm canceling the subscription. I've got enough evidence now. This isn't a serious news publication. Its messaging is in line with Billionaires and Twitter X at this point.

The funny thing about Loren Taylor not responding to the Oakland Post as an Oakland mayoral candidate is that they likely helped him get elected to the city council; their readers are primarily Oakland's Black religious church base.
Which means he cut off a likely part of his original electorate.

I did hear someone say they were disappointed to see their neighbors put them up on their lawn. They felt better to know I see Barbara Lee signs up. Divided by neighborhoods and neighbors.
