Nos gusta mucho quejarnos de las traducciones de títulos extranjeros al español, pero hoy me enteré que en Francia Where the Wild Things Are se llama "Max y los Maximounstros", así que bueno, esta gente está -como en tantas otras cosas- muchísimo peor que nosotros.

Como inmigrante en un país cada vez más islamofóbico y xenofóbico, este discurso de victoria de Mamdani me pareció tremendamente inspirador. Yo qué sé de si va a lograr todo lo que se propone, pero qué hermoso lugar de arranque.

¿Cuál es su opinión sobre abandonar libros? Yo siempre quiero seguir el chisme, pero hoy llegué a una certeza: si la autora (o autor, al parecer también los hombres escriben) parece estar más interesada en lucir inteligente, cosmopolita y cultivada que en contarte lo que sea, hasta aquí llegamos.

Güey se puso súper buena la novela. Jorge se enojó con Berta porque a fuerzas casó a su hija Gladys con uno que solo quiere el dinero. Y nadie invita a fiestas a Aurora porque es divorciada pero el marido infiel tan campante. Y Mariana otra vez comprometida, mijita, diosquiera ora sí se le haga.
