I was not familiar with 'Designing Women's game.

This is how every Dem politician should be talking to and about their Republican counterparts.

It's wild how relevant this speech from a TV episode that aired in 1988 still is today.

Literally every single county in Virginia voted more blue this year than they did in 2024.

Dems flipped GOP-controlled commissioner seats in Georgia blue.

Mikie Sherrill won in NJ by double the margin Kamala Harris did last year.

It'll get worse for the GOP if they don't read into these results
Mike Johnson: "What happened last night is blue states and blue cities voted blue. We all saw that coming. And no one should read too much into last night's election results."

Many years ago, I worked as a cashier in a Meijer grocery store. The only time we had to check ID for anything was if someone was buying an age restricted product (usually alcohol), or they were paying with a check, or if they had written 'please check ID' on the back of their credit/debit card.
Trump: "It's time for Republicans to do what they have to do and that's terminate the filibuster ... we should start tonight with 'the country's open, congratulations,' then we should pass voted ID, we should pass no mail in voting ... you go to a grocery store, you have to give ID."

IMO, this move is a much worse look for the Cubs' front office than declining the Shota option.

The Cubs should be players in a solid SP FA market. They already had 5-6 guys on the roster who belong in a rotation. Letting Shota walk to replace him with a FA upgrade isn't the end of the world.
The Cubs have traded reliever Andrew Kittredge to the Orioles for cash considerations.

Kittredge, who the Cubs acquired from Baltimore at the trade deadline, had a $9 million club option for 2026.

Seeing Breece Hall stay a Jet tells me the NFL needs to look at changing their free agent comp pick rules to be more like MLB.

The Jets kept Hall because they know if he walks after the season, they'll get a comp pick for losing him, and other teams weren't offering more than the value of that pick

Kyler Murray's dead cap hit if Cards choose to cut him this offseason - $57.7M, but they can split that over 2 seasons if they designate him a post-June 1st cut

It'd be the 2nd-highest dead cap hit ever, behind Russell Wilson's $85M when Denver cut him.
‼️‼️‼️ BREAKING NEWS ‼️‼️‼️

The AZ Cardinals are naming Jacoby Brissett as their starting QB.

This story puts Tom's cameo in 'Living With Yourself' in a whole new light.

If you haven't seen it, find it on Netflix and watch the first episode and it'll make sense.

We need some intrepid journalist to see what kind of ties Kimberly-Clark has to the Trump administration after this timeline of events...

- RFK Jr. announces HHS sees Tylenol as cause for autism
- Kenvue stock price drops by 30%
- Kimberly-Clark buys Kenvue
DALLAS (AP) — Kimberly-Clark will buy Tylenol maker Kenvue in a $48.7 billion deal, creating a massive consumer health goods company.

It's staggering how many things someone who is two deaths away from being the President doesn't know.
Raju: Last week, you were very critical of Biden, you said he didn’t even know who was pardoning. On 60 minutes, Trump admitted not knowing he pardoned a crypto billionaire guilty of money laundering. Is that also concerning?

Johnson: I don’t know anything about it.

In 2021, 2022, and 2023, the Cowboys had at least a top-10 offense and top-10 defense all 3 years (top-5 for both in 2023), and they made it to the Divisional round once in those 3 years. We've seen them with a GOOD defense, not just middle of the road, and they still failed to get to a NFCCG.
"Literally, a middle of the road defense could propel the Dallas Cowboys to their first NFC Championship game in 30 years. That could happen!" - Stephen A. Smith

I know 5 of the runs tonight will be charged to Blake Snell, but it was 2-2 when he exited this game with ~100 pitches.

The Dodgers' bullpen is a MASSIVE problem for them right now.

Toronto doing good work to get into that pen in the 6th
And if that Toronto lineup can make the LA starters throw enough pitches that they get to face off with Dodger relivers not named Roki Sasaki, all bets are off.

No one in that Dodgers' pen has been trustworthy in Sept/Oct

FWIW, the NBA changed their salary cap rules in their last CBA negotiations specifically because of the Warriors.

They increased the luxury tax penalties on teams that spend too much to try and prevent excellent teams from being able to add a top end free agent like Kevin Durant.
Are the Dodgers really ruining baseball? Nope.

I mean, the sportsbooks definitely do work with the leagues on this.

Usually, when these schemes get caught it's because the sportsbook flagged unusual betting activity on specific bets.

The Rozier stuff probably got caught because there was a lot of money wagered on his unders for a game.
oh okay no concerns then

Posts like this one by Aaron are the kinds of things the the GOP points to when they call the media dishonest where normal people might think they have a point.

This quote was the answer to a question about whether or not Trump has any other plans for renovations to the White House.
Leavitt: "At this moment in time, of course, the ballroom is really the president's main priority."

Emma Stone got paid millions and millions of dollars to be in the movie Bugonia and shave her head. I'm not sure asking people to do the same for $20 movie tickets is quite the same thing.

A breathtaking level of brazen corruption.

He's going to literally just take $230M of taxpayer money and put it directly into his own pockets.

And his supporters will undoubtedly defend this. They're the biggest marks imaginable.
President Trump is demanding that the Justice Department pay him about $230 million in compensation for the federal investigations into him.

Whether he gets paid will ultimately be up to DOJ's second-in-command, who was recently his personal lawyer.

This may be getting overlooked a bit because Jake Ferguson is currently the PPR TE1 in fantasy football - Did you realize he's averaging only 6.5 yards per reception?

Ferg is on pace to catch nearly 125 passes this season. No NFL player with 80+ receptions in a season every had a ypr mark that low.

Funny to see TJ Hockenson griping about his TD catch being overturned when it was pretty clearly the right call. The nose of the ball definitely hits the ground, and after bouncing off the turf, both of Hock's hands come off the football. Pretty clear and convincing evidence IMO.

My wife and I attended the #NoKings rally here in Chicago. It was heartening to see 10s upon 10s of thousands of people show up - people of all generations and walks of life.

Restored some hope that there are more of us than there are of them.
