Revoir "La Dame de Shanghaï" 20 ans plus tard. Être subjugué comme rarement, sous les apparats du film noir, par la mise en scène surréaliste au service d’une autopsie quasi métaphysique de la nature humaine, tiraillée entre perversité des sentiments et corruption des âmes par le pouvoir. Sublime.

Enfin vu The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial de William Friedkin. Bien que minimaliste dans son dispositif, l’ultime film de Friedkin impressionne dans sa manière de signifier que la vérité est forcément partielle et sujette à l’ambiguïté. Sutherland et Clarke y sont magistraux. Et quelle conclusion !
