I strongly resonated with this paper! Often times, lived experience be it racism, visa inequity, or any other experience, is difficult to understand without living through it. It affects policies, priorities, and limits of our imagination.

I know Charlie Kirk was anti-gun regulation and even oppressive in his statements. But I hope we don’t become a society where we are joyful about tragedies of others. We are then, continuing a vicious cycle - contributing to gun violence (among other things).

I know funding cuts in global health has been a shock to the system. However, this is not the first time - we have faced this before in 1986 with Ronald Reagan slashing support for the WHO (and attacking its role). We can learn from the past and push for a better future.
