Well, I think this rates up there near the top of all days fishing by myself. The day was perfect for a Sunday. Hardly anyone out fishing on the river. I love solitude. Fish were hungry and played all day. Thanks John Contis at Hare’s Ear Fly Fishing in Greenville SC.

Last night. Near my house. I can smell the smoke if the Table Rock Mountain fire. About 30+ miles away. Please pray for the firefighters, park rangers, residents, and the wildlife.

Stayed in today. No fishing. Winds were constant at 13-16 and gust to 20+ so read books and studied bugs and flies.

Rain day. A good thing for the fish and my soul. Can’t wait for Spring to green up everything.

Fishing is a way of life that restores the soul. Not always about the catch. You can find peace and nourishment that sustains you daily.
