I am happy with all the projects I've been able to participate in, but I wince at anyone aspiring to do it full-time from scratch rn bc I've had my heart broken too much on that front lmao.

also commissions are a grind. They can be fun, but still a grind if you do a bunch in succession. Cost of con tables/admission often vastly outweigh earnings, etc...

I think we were sold the idea that we could hit it big on patreon to pay rent, but Ive never have been able to consistently update that thing (nor do I promise to). Also any thing I have applied myself to "professionally" has been a temp contract or fails to pay in a predictable manner

again, literal years working to have this Not happen before I lose insurance. Aughhhhhh. idk, I will be OK with my current support system, but this is maddening.

I don't like venting abt my personal life on main but the state of the medical/dental industry and insurance has me going crazy. Especially since jaw surgery lies on this weird gray area between medical (sometimes covered by insurance) or dental (treated as "cosmetic" aka go fuck yourself)
