I went to a Browsertrix website earlier in the year and was really impressed. I particularly liked the sliding QA functionality.

In particular, Stacey Jones's statement that "Support and caring ARE infrastructure" felt like a clarion call. I hope the discussions we've started continue, ensuring people and their needs are at the heart of our approaches to digital preservation.

But on a serious note, there was lots of discussion yesterday on the first day of the 2025 NDSA DigiPres conference about the impact digital preservation work can have on our mental health, and the importance of community in sustaining us during these challenging times.

YES! Can't wait to read this. More people need to think like this. After doing research on mental health and wellbeing in the digital preservation community I've seen the data on the impact unrealistic workloads and expectations are having on practitioners.

Seems like "useful as a thought exercise, but not for practical implementation" is a common theme in responses...

That "good enough" pragmatism is SO important. Unfortunately, in my experience, significant properties often comes along with those who still hang on to the idea that there is a definable "best" practice in digital preservation
