Spilling guts alert… Hate commercialisation aspect sure, but also hits me raw because mum hated all gifts my catholic school forced me to make or guilt buy. Now with an older & more sentimental ma, she’s more insistent on recognition of the day. I take the lazy option and send odd cat gifs like this
