Since I’m fairly new here, I thought I’d introduce myself. I’m Sharon Hajj, a KS native who moved to the Philadelphia area a few decades ago. (Love it here!) I currently write mg fantasy, and I’m excited to announce I’m working with Ashleigh Renard and Jamie McGillen.
Pantone might have picked something boring for their color of the year, but I’ll always pick brighter colors first. The first designer I loved watching was Christopher Lowell. He said “Don’t be afraid of color!” and showed beautiful, rich colors. You can keep your white.

When I hear illegal aliens I always picture little green people walking around. 👽 They’re not aliens; they’re people.

I watch one video for lipstick for mature skin and now my entire instagram feed is filled with the same type of makeup videos.

I’m still trying to figure out what time it is. My eyes see the clock , so my brain is telling me one thing, but my body is telling me another.

Husband: “We have two more years to put up with T.”

Me: “He’s only been in office for nine months.”

Husband with shocked face: “It feels like years!”

Same.

Since I support indie authors, it only makes sense to support artists who are trying to get ahead in the music business instead of those who already have more than they need. If you’re looking for a great album, check out Jordan Popky! open.spotify.com/track/2LVvb0...

Multiple times at night I thought I should check to see if the Phillies won, but I forced myself to wait until morning in case it was a bad result. I’m so happy I woke up to good news!

The new album I’m listening to is Here for It All by Mariah Carey. She’s the best in my opinion.

Do you ever take off your glasses and forget that you can’t read without them? I do it when I’m tired.

Come on, Phillies! We need some runs!

Another day in the USA when the party that says they value life won’t do anything to protect the lives of children in school.

Putting the NYT mini crossword behind a paywall is another reminder of the greedy capitalists who want us to pay for every little thing just to exist.

I really need time away from my house to finish editing the last thirty pages of my story. There are too many interruptions here.

I’m feeling grumpy while fixing the printer, but then I realize I haven’t eaten. I’m not sure which is causing me more distress.

We went to dinner last night to celebrate our daughter’s birthday and took zero pictures. I wish I took at least one.

When I was young my grandmother always warned me to not do anything I wouldn’t want in a newspaper. I can’t imagine doing something so bad—like openly having an affair at a Coldplay concert—and the entire world finding out.

This is a good time to mention I’ve never read a Stephen King novel.

I slept a little later than usual this morning and the title for a novel that’s been brewing in my head came to me. I love when I have time and space to allow these ideas to form.

Am I the only one in PA not bothered by the rain? Yeah, we’ve had rainy days, but we’ve also had lots of sunshine, and my flowers need the water.

What would happen if the cover of a historical fiction novel featured a woman looking forward instead of toward the back? Would there be a glitch in the matrix?

Just discovered that the paperback edition of A Misfortune of Lake Monsters is now available for preorder--and it is DISCOUNTED right now at Bookshop.org! Go snap it up for a little less cash (and support indie bookstores at the same time)! Did I ever mention that there's a fantastic audiobook too?

I went to a local bookfest today and brought home a great stack of books. I love meeting other authors.

Every time I think I should post more so people can get to know me, I forget I should be posting. 😅 I don’t know how people do it all the time.
