How I spent my afternoon. My evening was spent having some ramen and playing @walkaboutminigolf.bsky.social with my daughter and a friend in CA. I'm planning to watch Jaws 2 with some friends online at 11p est.

Here I sit, hunched over my laptop wishing I could watch this on the Firestick browser on the tv instead. But as always, I persevere and am grateful for the chance to watch a stream 😁

I hope everyone had a lovely Wednesday whether a holiday was celebrated or not 😊 we hung out at home and watched tv including the last 2 episodes of Junior Taskmaster and a Hannukah themed Hallmark sort of movie.

Almost a full card haha I have lots of posters in tubes but none on the walls so I didn't count that one even though it should get a little credit 😅 Also, do fan run panels at Kcon count as events? If so, I could mark that one too.

Did I mention that I made ice cream with corn? It's bland to me because I didn't use a lot of sweetener. Andrew said he can taste the corn but that it isn't too strong. He liked it fine but the cat went nuts for it. I had to hold her to keep her from shoving her whole head in the container 😹

Nothing exciting to report except that we got a Ninja Creami for our anniversary and I've added YouTube videos on making frozen treats to my daily viewing. This is chocolate ice cream made with Carbmaster chocolate milk, heavy whipping cream, and some Hershey Special Dark syrup to kick it up. 😋

Nothing exciting to report except that we got a Ninja Creami for our anniversary and I've added YouTube videos on making frozen treats to my daily viewing. This is chocolate ice cream made with Carbmaster chocolate milk, heavy whipping cream, and some Hershey Special Dark syrup to kick it up. 😋
The Nubby kitty is once again in heat. No danger of babies but she is laying in here in front of the fan to avoid the neighborhood ferals. I have to almost constantly be touching her for her to be content, and I may expire from the increased heat of having my hand on fur.🥵

Some of the sweet bebes we rescued out of the old pool before we took it down. Yes, Andrew bought me some fish food so I could feel better about shoving them into a 5gal bucket.

Operation Hillbilly Pool 2.0 in progress. We got up at 6:30a to get the structure assembled before the heat kicked in and we accomplished that goal. It's been slowly filling for almost 2hrs and has lots to go, thanks low water pressure. No complaints, I'm just excited for a place to float and read.

I didn't get any aurora pics but the night mode on my phone is much clearer than I realized. It was close to midnight and full dark when these were taken. The first is just pointing up into the sky between the trees in my backyard and the second taken from the yard towards the neighbor's houses.

It was interesting to see again, I remember one from when I was a kid (I'm OLD) and I got a few photos that may come out ok. I think we were supposed to get about 97% covered and I watched til a little after that happened. I did take this with my phone.
