I finally got the tree trimmed. Lots of work. I'm basically physically dead now, so I'm going to leave it up until next year. It's permanent. A nightlight.

Just landed at home in #Denver. The teenager and I watched #LoveActually on the plane. She loved it and cried, so I know she was raised well. #Chicago was great but it wasn't #Dublin. We'll find another way. Next time on a plane that, you know, flies.

Walked around #Chicago and then all over the #SheddAquarium. Can't remember feeling this exhausted. I fell when we were almost back to the hotel, but I fell well and didn't hurt myself. This is one city where I won't be leaving any blood on the sidewalk. Yet.

Flight to Ireland canceled after hours on the parked plane due to mechanical problems. I suppose I'd rather not fly across the Atlantic on a sketchy plane. We're not rebooking only to spend two nights in Dublin, so we're spending three fun days in our layover city #Chicago. Lemons into lemonade.

Because of my #ms, I drop and break things. A lot. It's honestly, probably more than anything else, made me lose my attachment to the idea of accumulating things. You break enough stuff, you stop caring. It's just stuff.

The teenager is brilliant, well rounded, and independent. She works, saves money, cooks, does laundry, shops, does great in school, gets around town on her own, etc.
It occurred to me today that if she had to send something snail mail, she might not know how.
