There's no reconciliation, no justice, without truth. In this time of backlash, we must defend the progress made (limited and imperfect, but progress nonetheless) on recognizing the truth of colonization and genocide in Canada.
The CCJ expresses our solidarity with the Chiefs of the Syilx Okanagan Nation. We remain committed to recognizing historical and ongoing realities and upholding Indigenous rights, academic freedom, and the work of decolonization.
