What’s so exciting about the Oxford-Cambridge ‘growth corridor’?

It’s not just Oxford and Cambridge, which make up less than 15% of the corridor’s GDP.

It’s also places like Milton Keynes, one of the most innovative and productive parts of the UK. 🧵

📕 Just arrived! Looking forward to reading more about the case for public investment in the arts, which is something we have continued to prioritise in Milton Keynes.

Why should a council care about climate change? 🤔

At a recent meeting of the Milton Keynes City Council Cabinet, I was pleased to welcome the addition of climate to our corporate risk register - acknowledging the substantial risk is poses to our residents and to overwhelm council services.

A bittersweet evening last night saying goodbye to our current Milton Keynes Youth Council as their term comes to an end.

This talented group have done so much to promote the youth voice in our city and within our council and they’ve grown a lot in the process.

I’m so proud of every one of them! 👏

I’m so pleased that our Government is taking forward all 50 of the recommendations in the AI Action Plan.

We can’t not embrace AI. A future revolution is on the horizon, and it is our Government’s job to make it work for us all.

In case you missed it, over on the other social media channel, I called out Morrison's stance on inheritance tax on agricultural businesses when they paid £0 in UK corporation tax in 2023.

My mum works in a Morrisons shop, so understandably it's a business I follow closely.
