Adding custom book covers to "A Place for All My Books".

Barbara straight-up kills Vicki's sand monster friend and makes her cry. Then the doctor slips straight into belittling her abotut how much smarter and better he is. The new family dynamic is off to a great start. #ChaWho

Then this dude pushes Barbara off a cliff, rude. Apparently no big deal, though.

The TARDIS gets trapped by a cave-in, of course. The Doctor and Ian have a short cave adventure before meeting up with the others. #ChaWho

Opens on a cool crashed spaceship model full of knobs, dials and beeping indicators. That's the stuff. Meanwhile, the doctor is having a sook and takes a nap while Barbara and Ian explore. #ChaWho

THE RESCUE. A quick two-parter introducing Susan's replacement Vicki. Another teenager to preserve the family roadtrip dynamic they have going on. And maybe so the Doctor can just push all his grandaughter feelings onto someone else instead of processing emotions. #ChaWho

This delivery tracking with number of stops and exact route is giving me so much GIS nostalgia.

I got some random imperfect socks. Not a bad haul.

Pretty much. That plus the oversized box for Unconscious Mind fills a whole cube.

Over 8 kg package for a single game might be getting a little silly. These things happen.

I knew I had something fun at the post office but wasn't sure what. Answer is... an RPG I'll probably never get to play.

Time to get married and rebuild the Earth. Susan wanted stability and belonging, so logical on some level, but also extremely fucked up. The Doctor gives a long speech about becoming a woman and that her future belongs with this dude she just met. Happy ending, if you say so. #ChaWho

David seduces Susan by teasing her with a dead fish. Whatever works for you, friend. At least it's slightly more appropriate than crushing on her teacher.

Carole Ann Ford has had enough (understandably) so it's a rushed storyline to write Susan out of the series. #ChaWho

Barbara gets to drive through a group of Daleks with a truck, so that's nice. #ChaWho

Meanwhile, humans are working in the mines under Dalek and roboman overseers. Spliced in stock footage makes this feel more like an actual mine than a studio. It's all pretty grim, including the fate of the robomen. Whenever the mind control wears off they immediately die by suicide. #ChaWho

I don't care what anyone says, these flying saucers rule. #ChaWho
September 3, 2025 at 3:12 AM
The Doctor gets to play with magnets and show everyone how clever he is. Or not, since he ran straight into a bunch of Daleks and enslaved human robomen before he'd even finished patting himself on the back. Then almost got turned into a roboman himself. #ChaWho

Again, actually some tension-building. How I miss things not having to run at a million miles an hour. It took to the end of the first episode to see a Dalek, though we all read the title and knew it was coming. A Dalek slowly coming up out of the water is creepy. #ChaWho

Still coming up with new and creative ways to block everyone out of the TARDIS. This time a bridge collapses on it. The Doctor blames Susan and threatens her with a smacked bottom, as though she were a fraction of her actual age. And she twists her ankle, because useless and vulnerable. #ChaWho

Surely the Doctor and Susan could have found an easier route than climbing a drainpipe? Look out, people are coming to wash the blood off their hands (dun dun dun). Time for a plumbing lesson about overflow pipes. Followed by a lesson in operating a rotary phone when you're one inch tall #ChaWho

It's also dangerous to stand in the way of capitalism by pointing out ecological issues, for this guy. Everyone narrowly avoids getting eaten by a cat while checking out the creepy giant dead body. #ChaWho

PLANET OF GIANTS. Another TARDIS issue and now the ship and everyone in it has been shrunk to teeny size. Lots of dead invertebrates. Time for an ecology lesson about issues with broad and indiscriminate use of pesticides. #ChaWho

Into prison, out of prision. There should be a lot of tension of having a guillotine hanging over your head but I don't super feel it. Barbara expresses some muddy ideas about seeing good people on both sides of a conflict fighting for what they believe in. I don't really get it. #ChaWho
August 25, 2025 at 10:30 PM
Meanwhile, the Doctor has a nice walk through the countryside then finds a cool hat, so now he can boss people around. The rest of the team also land on their feet and the resistance apparently has nothing better to do than help them out. #ChaWho

Barbara and Susan give up on escaping prison because Susan is scared of rats, so they sit around waiting to be guillotined. Fuck off. Companions have flaws and moments of cowardice but you don't undermine determination to dig through a fucking wall with your bare fingers with a few rodents #ChaWho
