4. After years of declaring the two-state solution “dead,” flirting with “one-state” illusions on the left and “conflict management” or annexation on the right — when things get real and solutions are needed, the good old two-state idea always makes a comeback. Time to focus on how to make it work.

2. Still, the remarkable fact is this: a far-right US President and the Israeli PM of the most right-wing government in Israel’s history now endorse a two-state solution (point 19 of the plan) and put an end to annexation fantasies.

The colloquium is hosted by the Institute for Law, Politics & Philosophy: an interdisciplinary space linking three UCL departments.

The idea is simple: bring serious people together to test serious work in progress on big legal and political questions.
