Medicare-for-all isn’t just feasible, it’s necessary. With 27 million uninsured Americans and premiums that climb every year, our system doesn’t need incremental reform. It needs a full transformation.

Just saw a video of Bill Maher calling Mamdani a “straight up communist” and I continue to be struck by the depiction of policies associated with the New Deal Order as far-left extremism, which goes along with a refusal to depict Trump’s unprecedented authoritarian actions as far-right extremism.

Democrats who have tried to push the party to change course—to embrace universal healthcare, support a ban on stock trading, elevate younger leaders—have probably at some point been scolded to “Vote Blue No Matter Who.”

But this charge has never been based in reality.

Centrist Democrats Are the Actual Traitors to Their Party
While progressives often get accused of undermining the Democratic Party, the evidence shows that it’s the moderate wing that most often violates the “Vote Blue No Matter Who” principle.

Worth adding: There are good people doing very important work at the state/local level, and there are even some at the federal level trying to make change inside the party. Until there is accountability & generational change, the national Democratic Party will remain what it's been for years: an election losing machine & a permanent jobs program for DC/NY suits who serve the donor class and see politics not as a serious endeavor, but as Hollywood for ugly people.
