Just another morning in Flatbush!

"All the news fit to print."

Elites in media and politics continue to completely misunderstand the urgency and seriousness of the moment we're in. NYC has serious housing/transportation needs.

The @rpa.org has been all over this but unfortunately it’s just a pipe dream. Most of the rail infrastructure is already built too.

The two states and three railroads just can’t get along.

Yea so miss me with that “empty 🚲 lanes” discourse. 🥱

Better infra—> more bikes.

Hundreds of thousands of NYers rely on safe bike infra to get around and if London and Paris are any indication, this will go up dramatically with more convinient safe routes.

You would be called a socialist. Big-time.

I think it’s genuinely interesting that cuomo supporters think that trying to bully candidates out of an election is a winning strategy.

There are several ways that this tone can backfire.

I actually thought this was satire. There are good, real grounded arguments against free busses.

Cuomo has picked (easily) the most nonsensical one.

More people in the “press” need to do work asking how “states rights conservatives” have gotten to this point.

This was our most complex installation to-date, involving the complex installation of power access across the entrance to the Holland Tunnel. The project also included a new mural, plantings and public art.

Last month we celebrated the two year anniversary of Oonee Hudson Square with local BID.

Personally, on this journey I am most proud of the way that NYC communities have embraced our initial bike parking stations-- hard 2 believe that ppl were once skeptical bc they were afraid of blowback.

Today on Flatbush/Clarkson. This kind of wreckage should not be possible on residential streets.

Even the most dispassionate student of history should be alarmed.

Why would anyone call Trump an authoritarian? So weird...

Man Brooklyn College is a gem. Imagine if NYC invested in CUNY fr fr?

Jeez

Yes! Double decker racks can serve cargo bikes already, but there will be adaptive spaces for cargo bikes and also racks for scooters. In this rendering you can see one of the adaptive spaces that I'm referring to.

We also think it is critical that these larger hubs offer services beyond parking. Safe charging + battery swapping is increasingly essential as the number of e-bikes on our streets grows. We're also focusing on *fast* basic service & maintenance.
September 15, 2025 at 6:03 PM
At scale, we envision the hubs to have about half of network capacity, with the rest of the capacity distributed across smaller outdoor curbside units (6-10 spaces) in residential areas and medium sized Pods (24-65 spaces) that are located in public space. We already operate a network of these.
September 15, 2025 at 6:02 PM
I should also mention that outdoor hubs are possible too. Here is a rendering of an outdoor hub that is on a Midtown development site. We're in preliminary conversations with the property owner and should we be able to negotiate a reasonable base + percentage rent, the facility could hold 250 bikes!

For Oonee, this also represents the culmination of our vision for a citywide network. We believe that small, medium and large facilities should work together to form one comprehensive citywide system, w/coverage in residential, mixed-use and downtown areas.

Many forms, many sizes but one system.
