Just had the police on the phone asking me if I was willing to go to court, as a driver I have reported is contesting it.
Let's see if this one happens, as every other time they've changed their plea before the court date.

West Yorkshire Police think this sort of pass is acceptable.
I don't, especially given that the driver can see the other lane is completely clear just a few seconds later.
