And so, with eight days left before the eighth anniversary of Pyre, I want to take the opportunity to honor this game by streaming it live on twitch so that anyone, whether you've never heard of the game before or have almost 100+ hours in it, can experience the wonders of The Downside! 4/5

And that's to say nothing of the act one twist that both redefines the game to the extent that it's almost impossible to not talk about in a review and, imo, is best left for the player to experience for themselves. And yet, despite all this, I still hold that this game is a masterwork. 3/5

Unfortunately, this game can be difficult to discuss due to the fact that there's nothing else like it. One part visual novel, one part sports game, all parts lighting caught in a bottle, Pyre is a game I have struggled to convince friends to play ever since its initial release. 2/5
