In her closing remarks, Ana Toni, Executive Director of @COP30noBrazil, highlighted that democratic choices drive inclusive change. In just 2.5 years, Brazil lifted 24 million people out of hunger, thanks to strong support for family farming and food sovereignty.

About 50% of the ingredients come from family farms, and meals are rooted in agroecology. Solidarity kitchens respond to inequality and food insecurity — and show how grassroots action can inspire public policy for fair, sustainable food systems.

Coordinated by Rude and Fabiano, under national leader Eduardo Borges (MTST), the kitchen serves up to 130 meals a day, Monday to Friday. Two full-time cooks and volunteers keep things running. Serving the neighborhood since 2021.
