A new report from the Wetlands Regional Monitoring Program, co-managed with the San Francisco Estuary Institute, indicates that restored tidal wetlands in the Bay almost quadrupled from 2000 to 2020, bringing the total to 53,000 acres and growing.

The 2025 State of the Estuary Conference is NOW open for registration. #SOEconf 2025 Conference Rates for this year's conference: For early bird 2-day registration the price is $460 For 2-day registration the price is $495 For 2-day registration for students, the price is $150 For single day registration the price is $300 For single day registration for students, the price is $85 For students valid student ID is required at registration at the event. Calling all volunteers! Volunteers will receive complimentary registration for each day they volunteer at the State of the Estuary Conference. Volunteer roles include supporting with registration, speaker check-in, concurrent session computer operation, set-up, break-down, wayfinding and general assistance and more.
