Understanding tunneling is fundamental to understanding PCET processes and their reactivity. We are grateful to Prof. Dr. Johannes Kästner for shedding light on this topic in his talk “Tunneling Processes in Chemistry Simulated with Instanton Theory” as part of the SFB 1633 Seminar Series.

From Nov 3-7, MINT-EC students joined us for a science camp on sustainable electrochemistry at the XLAB Göttingen. Vivian Keune (Prof. Waitz), Ajdin Velić (Prof. Meyer), Anne Goetz and Katharina Oelschlegel (Prof. Schneider) introduced the students to key PCET concepts through hands-on experiments.

Our second Method Course took place on Nov 5–6!
Prof. Dr. Siegfried Waldvogel and Dr. Darryl Nater introduced participants to electrosynthesis through an engaging lecture and hands-on demonstrations. The program also included a tour of the MPI for Solar System Research networking opportunities.

Yesterday, we wrapped up the SFB1633 seminar series for summer term 2025: a great finale featuring Prof. Dr. Ingrid Span (FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg) with her insightful talk "Hydrogenases made crystal clear".
