Yea absolutely! With this new feature, what do you reckon would be an optimal length of staying in Coming Soon while leveraging the updates effectively? Assuming the project has a decent follower count but not huge (like ~1000-2000 range).

Wow this is absolutely huge! I think if leveraged effectively, this may have a substantial impact on converting followers to backers. What's your take on this?

Game looks so polished! Wishing them best of luck.

On the topic of Kickstarter best practices, would they not have been better off if the goal was lower, even if they're confident they would hit it?

Makes sense! 👌

Understood!

Do you mean Steam-friendly genres with more emergent gameplay and long-tail (open-world / sandbox / survival etc.) have more leeway when it comes to pricing?
April 14, 2025 at 8:23 PM
Makes sense thanks. By partner you mean the likes of Jellop and Backerkit? Do they manage physical rewards too?
April 14, 2025 at 8:19 PM
The top few games have relatively high entry level price tags ($30+) on their reward tiers. Usually indies start from $15 ish. Is it a justified decision because they have an existing audience / active community? Do you think it has been a net positive for them?
April 14, 2025 at 8:02 PM
Fantasttic thread thank you! There has always been advice on NOT doing physical rewards due to the cost and complexity of shipments, but it is very clear that physical rewards are a key factor in getting higher pledges. Would you say physical rewards, if done well, are a net positive?

That is insanely large! Are the cabins also procedurally generated and located?

If you need to see significant traction (community, wishlists, soiclas) before signing a game, what would the devs need your help for?
April 7, 2025 at 11:37 AM
Ok got it. So it's mostly to keep up the engagement and give the community something to talk about.

Stretch goals, if done correctly, do they translate to new pledges, or same backers increasing their pledge?

This is perfect, thank you! If you allow, I'm going to steal this list for my open source spreadsheet.

You can add these two to the list:
- Landfall Games
- Pocketpair

I have a list of investors on this spreadsheet, but it's a mix of equity and project financing. Might worth taking a look anyways:

I watched Godzilla 1998 multiple times when I was 6. It was my favourite movie at the time. I don't recall finding it scary or anything.
