I refuse to repost anything to do with the UCP threatening to rip out #yycbike lanes.
Why?

No bike commute today, it’s minivan (aka Clunky) service day. Oil change, brake service and a general health check up. A bit nervous about the later, with 360,000km on it and my last words to @peislandergirl.bsky.social before leaving the house were: “how many bikes do you think this will cost?” 😬

One of my daughters friends moms (who also has an Urban Arrow) thanked me today for being an inspiration, riding in these awful conditions. It's nice to get a compliment, but it'd be nicer if @calgary.ca did winter maintenance so the people who want to ride can do it safely. #yycbike

- Confluence pathway still closed but no sign of construction 🙄
- if you have to ride on side streets today, I’m sorry for your pain

Worst part of last weeks ride (Centre to EV) was the best this morning. Clear, no ice ruts! From Inglewood to Glenmore - thin hard pack snow describes most of the trip. Passable but could be better. Weekend crews that don’t give a fck maybe? 🤔 Almost hit a deer in Carburn! 😲

This is a perfect example of the "fuck you" clearing we see sometimes. Imagine just leaving a wall of snow on Deerfoot somewhere for the cars to encounter.
