I was looking up the Van Gogh painting of prisoners marching in a circle online. Google offered me many photos of the painting plus a lot of other paintings that were not Van Gogh's - attributing them to Van Gogh. Depressing. Happy I'm old enough to remember the real times.

(on the occasion of the country's complete dismantling) Personally, we're fine today, and for that I'm grateful. Meanwhile, please enjoy this new painting by the wonderful artist, Jesse Wiedel (whose work we'll be showing early next year).

Does anybody remember the term "peace punk?"
I just realized I don't think I've heard it in more than 20 years. It's an aside I had when reading this: www.nytimes.com/2025/05/11/o...

Is anyone surprised that private equity is at fault for the fires - and for the ruination of our nation.

Sharing because this is such a cute picture PLUS how much power crypto and AI are using - and greenhouse gas generating - when it wants us all to be...... paperclips? Why hasn't this been stopped?

Elizabeth Tremante’s oil paintings show the personal trials and tribulations of ordinary women against a backdrop of Western Art History. The contrast is striking!
Pictured here is her painting, “One Day After School,” 2023, oil on canvas, 23 x 27 inches. #ElizabethTremante #oiloncanvas

Here's an amazing and compelling interview of pre-roe v. wade abortion Dr. Warren Hern by Robert Sheer. Last thing he said floored me, "The American people voted for fascism; they voted for death; and they voted for extinction." www.kcrw.com/culture/show...
Dr. Warren Hern: Abortion in the age of unreason | Scheer Intelligence
The election came and went, and despite Democrats’ heavy emphasis on abortion rights, the election of Donald Trump makes it clear that the rights of women across the country are in grave danger.
