Stories are everything!
They stick in people’s minds.
The “conservative-christian” propaganda machines figured this out decades ago. We are late to the war.

It’s a war of stories.
They have the edge, because they use fictional narratives… LIES.
It’s much harder to capture attention truthfully.

It all would have been much easier if, as would have happened if we were remotely a serious country, it all ended with the Access Hollywood interview.

I was just thinking. 7000 year old glaciers =zero by 2100. This sucks. It breaks my heart. But even more, I am worried about the future.
A majority of earthly creatures depend on them for water, especially during droughts (are droughts still a problem anywhere?)
An ecosystem gone.
We’ve known.

If only our society took major crimes by rich people as seriously as minor crimes by poor people. Ideally more seriously. But as seriously would be a big improvement.

You could literally watch this happen… as it was happening… and know that this is where we would end up.
It’s so depressing,
and we’re soon to be in…
a DEPRESSION.

Yup!
It seems like America is “repeating” the 20th century… one decade after another.

We are in a pattern of governmental ignorance and neglect, similar to that which led up to The Great Depression and two World Wars.
A convicted felon who had also been found liable for sexual assault and committed additional crimes in plain sight was close with a notorious child sex trafficker and likely participated in some of those crimes too got elected with much of that known and spent his presidency railing against “crime.”

i would feel more hopeful about this moment if i thought that the culture was primed for a reexamination of the struggle for status, privilege, preeminence, exceptionality, and impunity—rather than worshipping these things. the backlash against #metoo is emblematic.

If the work is any good, has any substance whatsoever, every reader that participates in it will come away with something different. Maybe broad strokes close to the same, but still different.

The desire to control the work, to dictate the only interpretation, is pathology.

My heart is breaking for so many people today.
I’ve watched with horror, as America defunded and cannibalized itself for decades.
The lack of humanity at home, is what permits people to BLIND THEMSELVES to the utter decimation of humans around the world.

The central question in American politics is simple.

Do you stand with forgotten Americans or the Epstein class?

That's it.

My political hot take is that US voters should be able to recall elected representatives via petition - at any time.
No more hiding behind election terms.
