A nearby National Wildlife Refuge has the gate on the main road closed. Due to budget cuts they no longer have staff or funds to keep road open. All our National Parks and Refuges are facing similar problems. I am alarmed. #budgetcuts #environment #nationalparks

I was out last night trying to see some meteors and managed to see something unusual. Apparently it was the second stage rocket burning up after a launch. I'm in Kansas so surprised we could see that. Very cool.

Many military museums are being phased out, including all 3 of the ones at Fort Riley in Kansas. Some soldiers very upset, that is their history. #Military
