Just so I'm clear: a narco-terrorist is a guy in a boat and it's cool to vamoose him but a cocaine trafficker gets pardoned to so the president can try to swing votes in another country?

Sure I'm petty, and this isn't the point, but: the former president of Harvard is barely literate in his emails ("u are"!)while my children send texts with full sentences, and proper capitalization & punctuation. Such a funny marker of the total indifference of these elites to norms & standards.

This is why they are gerrymandering—stacking the deck in desperation because of numbers like this. If the D’s were remotely strategic, they’d get rid of the Electoral College first thing if and when they get back in power.

And: western ag folks often get income from oil and gas leases on property or, more recently, leasing land for renewables. Oil prices are is too low to drill, OPEC is releasing, and tariffs make well pad construction too expensive. And of course, renewables have been destroyed under Trump.
Tariffs.
Deportations.

For comparison's sake, the US has given Israel approximately $18B dollars.
President Trump hosted Javier Milei, the leader of Argentina, at the White House on Tuesday, just days after the U.S. agreed to move ahead with a major bailout of the Latin American nation for $20 billion.

Wright, a longtime fracking exec, probably did more to kill coal than any wine-sipping coastal lib in America. He should be proud — it’s his industry’s greatest accomplishment!
Energy Secretary Chris Wright on Fox: "We're announcing today expanded programs to help the American coal industry. We're helping it because for years it has been under assault. It was out of fashion with the chardonnay set in San Francisco, Boulder, and NYC ... coal just makes the world go round."

Our rural fire and rescue departments update us on FB. I hate it and it’s absolutely necessary in our town.
Facebook is not good, but it has become *essential* for a lot of people, which is a huge issue. If you're in a small town, Facebook is often the only source of news about town government or local events. This makes it hard to ditch Facebook in the same way that people ditched Twitter.
exactly, like what actual good is Facebook? a sort of internet white pages that easily could be run as a nonprofit or coop without obliterating journalism or touching off genocides
