The two-child limit is cruel, self-defeating and traps children in a life of poverty.

It's time to end it once and for all.

Wirral Liberal Democrat councillors speak out for legal immigrants claiming Asylum in the UK with an emphasis on the “Asylum Hotel” in Hoylake — acknowledging that fear mongering will not help anyone and that we must have compassion and empathy when dealing with such subjects.

Cllr Stuart Kelly said, “There is a clear failure of different council departments to work together and a total lack of information to council members regarding the risks within this project and clearly members have not pushed hard enough for information.”

who knew what and when, why the overspend has only come to light now and why it’s so large?

Liberal Democrats are clear that we cannot vote for anything that strips disabled people and those who care for them of vital support.
Under the Government’s plans, those caring for someone who doesn’t qualify for PIP in future will lose their Carer’s Allowance.

Countless people rely on this support to stay in work and just go about their daily lives. To strip that away from them is not only senseless but cruel.

Ministers must change course.

Calls by the council’s Liberal Democrats for the council to take action, warning tax payers “could end up footing the bill for system failures”.

“it was “bad news” for small and medium-sized businesses who “often run very tight margins and may struggle to survive due to unpaid bills”.

If precedent is anything to go by, Trump will be working behind the scenes to extract more concessions for his trade deal.

We need a cast-iron guarantee that the NHS will be exempt from any kind of Trump deal and that US tech giants won't be given a tax cut.

Cutting PIP will do nothing to help people into work, when so many rely on this support to stay employed.

Slashing carers allowance will hurt those selflessly looking after loved ones and taking pressure off our NHS.

Whilst this is good news and a win for devolution there is still a lot of work to do with local groups like Glenavon JFC who use the Glen and Solly fields.
Detailed plans must not displace existing users of the playing fields at Woodchurch Road.
LCR must engage on the design.

child poverty isn’t inevitable
The most effective action government can take is to end the two child limit.

Have a look at this report from child poverty action group-

It is clear- “Abolishing the two-child limit is the most cost-effective way to reduce child poverty”

The new leader of the Labour group was supported by just 15 of the 29 Labour councillors.
