Lithuania has declared a state of emergency over smuggling balloons launched from Belarus. The Interior Ministry says the balloons pose a threat to national security and disrupt civil aviation, even forcing delays at Vilnius airport. The new status allows faster response and military involvement.

Noticed tonight that @cbsnews.com coverage of the situation in Ukraine had plenty on Russian strikes and non-progress of US peace efforts, but nothing on Ukrainian counterattacks into Russia, sanctions, nor EU military support.
