Found what I thought was a home made bouy/float washed up onto the road this morning with some Common Mussles attached.

Not seen one of these before they are usually cooking or motor oil containers with the lids araldited/glued on.

The Equinox Tides are approaching so it's seaweed fest time on the beach.

A small shark might be an option as well.

A notochord ? A quick search says the only marine fish that retain them beyond a few inches in length are Lamprey, Hagfish and Sturgeon could possibly be one of those.

Only young Fulmars left on the cliffs here, a far larger than usual influx of terns and the auks that mostly jumped 5-6 weeks ago are still here.

Looks like a match with this which is a definite hind paw print.

Maybe fell off the front of a butchers shop and went straight down the drain, sometimes see them at kiosks at the beach that sell hot dogs.

There is a giant 5ft high version of one with a face at a kiosk at the beach here, probably gives loads of children nightmares.

I found a Flapper Skate egg case today on a beach to the west of Arbroath, I found a few in 2023 but this is the first one I have seen since then.
